The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S version of Witcher 3 will be released in Q4 2022, developer CD Projekt Red has confirmed. This means that it will be launched in the October-December period.
The next-gen version of the acclaimed RPG has been delayed indefinitely to April 2022. CD Projekt has delayed the game amid development news moving from Russia’s Saber Interactive team to CD Projekt Red itself.

Fans have been waiting for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S edition of The Witcher 3 for a long time, as the game was originally scheduled to launch in 2021.
Like the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3 will leverage the added power of these systems to improve how the game looks and works. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version also comes with all previously released expansions , plus new content inspired by Netflix’s popular Witcher TV show.
Anyone who has purchased The Witcher 3 before gets the update for free, which was also the case for the new version of Cyberpunk 2077.
The Witcher 3 has sold 40 million copies worldwide, and that number is sure to increase even further when the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S edition launches. Looking ahead, CD Projekt has confirmed work has begun on The Witcher 4, which will run on Unreal Engine 5.
