Don’t count out Jenelle Evans.
The reality TV star, 30, will not will appear on new reality show ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’ – which combines ‘Teen Mom OG’ and ‘Teen Mom 2’ into one – after being unable to agree on a contract, TMZ reported on Tuesday.
MTV reportedly wanted to sign the “Teen Mom 2” alum to an exclusive deal, but his manager claimed that “it would have limited other career opportunities for Jenelle.”
However, that doesn’t mean the mother-of-three is giving up on reality TV for good as she “apparently has a dynamic new series in development, (but) is keeping the concept under wraps for now.”
His manager announced that his client’s show would be picked up by a “major network”.
The star previously tried to maintain her fame with a YouTube channel and more recently launched an OnlyFans account where she posts content with her husband, David Eason.
This news comes after former co-star Leah Messer said she would like Evans to return to the show.
“I think I can’t wait to see where she is in her life and whatever the leaders ultimately decide is what they decide. I wish her the best,” Messer told Page Six, although she hasn’t been friends with Evans, 30, since the latter was fired by MTV in 2019.
“I haven’t spoken to Jenelle in a very long time. She was part of the original cast [members] a spectacle. And I knew her very well at that time,” she continued. “I do not know [her] currently. Right now I don’t have a relationship with her, honestly.
Evans first rose to fame when she appeared on “16 & Pregnant” while expecting her son, Jace Vahn Evans. She then starred in “Teen Mom 2” alongside Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer and Chelsea DeBoer.
But her time on the show was not without controversy.
In 2019, the network cut ties with her after her husband David Eason admitted to killing their family dog for allegedly biting their daughter Ensley, who was 2 at the time.
The father-of-one was being investigated for animal cruelty by local authorities in North Carolina. MTV had already severed ties with Eason a year prior after posting homophobic tweets.
Evans – who also shares son Kaiser with ex Nathan Griffith – opened up about his battle with drugs in his 2017 book, “Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom”.
She also admitted to testing positive for the drug found in cannabis after giving birth to her daughter.
