■ The Warren Report

The Warren Report chronicles your deeds to Valeria, contains profiles of characters you meet and news of what’s happening around the country, as well as useful information about the game and how to play, all presented in a basic format of data.

But it’s more than just a database. It also contains scenes of events that cannot be found anywhere else, and reading information in the Warren Report can even unlock new locations to visit. So be sure to check back often to see what’s new!

■ Dive into the depths

Deep and rewarding gameplay is one of the strong points of the game. There are many places out of the way of the main story reserved exclusively for the pure pleasure of battle. Winning these battles can spawn new stages on the map, allowing you to dig even deeper into the challenge. Some of these paths may branch off, and depending on the route you take, the enemies you face and the treasures that await you will change. Gather riches to fill your coffers, collect materials to craft powerful items, and even recruit fairies, ghosts, and dragons to your party. See how far your intelligence can take you!

Challenge location: Phorampa Wildwood

A vast forest with difficult terrain, known as a breeding ground for all sorts of strange beasts. Enemies with classes otherwise unavailable in the early stages of the game can be found here, so it’s a great place to hunt down new recruits for your forces.

—Each stage you complete unlocks a new, deeper challenge inside. There’s no turning back during this gauntlet of battles and no stores to replenish supplies, so be prepared!

—After completing the location, you can “Withdraw” and re-enter as many times as you want.

Challenge Location: Palace of the Dead

The Palace of the Dead is an intimidating place filled with many powerful enemies and can be unlocked by fulfilling certain conditions. Bring a well-prepared party if you plan to reach the depths of the palace.

— Long ago, an evil mage ventured into the Palace of the Dead in search of great power. Although many entered, none ever returned.

“A dungeon that descends seemingly endlessly. What evil awaits deep within the depths?

—Special events can be found inside.

—The Palace of the Dead holds a kind of secret…

— Defeat the deadly enemies that dwell within to claim powerful items and spells.

Challenge Location: The Pirate Graveyard

Shipwrecks drifting on ocean currents gather in this cemetery. Reports of ghosts and misshapen creatures pour in endlessly. Many pirates have entered the graveyard in hopes of recovering the treasures it contains, but none are known to have returned.

—A twisting maze carved out by underground rivers and the relentless ocean tides.

“Terrible creatures and the restless souls of sailors lost at sea would roam here…

— Defeat powerful enemies in a gauntlet of battles to find the pirate’s treasure, which is rumored to rest in the farthest recesses of the graveyard.

New Feature: Relics

Among the gear you’ll find in some dungeons are new items called relics, which have different properties than normal items. You can combine relics with the same name in stores to improve various stats, such as attack type, element, and racial resistance. Stack upgrades to help you take on even more powerful enemies.

■ Other side stories

Countless other side stories await, including additional stories and dungeons available after completing the main story.

From traversing the different story branches to creating the ultimate weapons, the endgame is just the beginning of the adventure!

■ Courses

Hint: After being incapacitated in battle, the spirits of the dark world will resurrect after a certain amount of time. However, Priests can use Exorcism divine magic to put them to rest.

Skeleton

A skeleton warrior summoned from the Dark World using necromancy. Able to wield a wide variety of weapons.

Phantom

An undead spirit without a physical form summoned from the dark world using necromancy.

lich

Mages from the dark world who transcended death. They use high level magic and abilities.

Golem

These artificial monsters are constructed with materials such as clay and stone. Originally created as guardians, they now answer to no master.

Dragon

Girded in iron-hard scales, they scatter all who stand against them with mighty tails and fearsome breath.

Griffin

Magical beasts with the body of a lion and the wings and head of an eagle. Since they glide high in the wind, rough terrain and elevation differences have no effect on them.
