Sylvester Stallone talks about the forces that led him to reunite with his wife Jennifer Flavin after a brief separation last summer.
“There was a reawakening of what was more valuable than anything, which was my love for my family,” Stallone, 76, told The Sunday Times. “It takes precedence over my job and it was a hard lesson to learn.”
Stallone told the outlet that he regrets focusing on his career instead of his kids in some cases.

“I didn’t pay enough attention when they were growing up,” said Stallone, father of daughters Sophia, 26, Sixtine, 24, and Scarlet, 20 with Flavin, 54; and with ex Sasha Czack, her son Seargeoh, 43, and the late Sage Stallone, who tragically died aged 36 following a heart attack in July 2012.
He added: “I was so career-focused and now I’m like, ‘OK, I don’t have much of a lead ahead of me and I want to start asking them about their lives.
“I ask them about their day and they first start with a bit monosyllabic. Then I heard someone say, “I was just thinking about you. Oh my God. I never heard that in my life. When a girl knows you care, she’s there forever.
On Aug. 19, the former model filed for divorce from the Tinseltown legend, after which the Rocky star released a statement on Aug. 24 that, according to E! News, ‘I love my family. We address these personal issues in a friendly and private manner.

On August 19, Jennifer filed for divorce, alleging that he “engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which adversely impacted the marital assets economically.” .

Some claimed their Rottweiler Dwight was the immediate cause of the breakup. Stallone adores Dwight – the name of his character in a new drama TV series, Tulsa King – and has posted gushing videos and photos of the animal on social media.
Family insiders told the TMZ website that the actor wanted the dog to help protect the family at their home in Los Angeles and Palm Beach, Florida.
