Does it taste like Harry Styles saliva?
Harry Styles has laughed off the speculation he spewed on Chris Pine during his Wednesday night concert in New York.
“It’s our 10th show at Madison Square Garden, it’s wonderful, wonderful, wonderful to be back here,” the British singer told his fans during the opening of his show “Love On Tour: Madison Square Garden Is Harry’s House”.
“I just popped into Venice to spit on Chris Pine but don’t worry, we’re back!”
His remarks caused onlookers to shout and cheer for the singer as he held his guitar.
Fans talked nonstop about Styles allegedly spitting in Pine’s lap in a now viral video of the “Don’t Worry Darling” co-stars at the Venice Film Festival premiere on Monday.
In the footage, the singer-turned-actor, 28, sat in the empty seat next to Pine, who had director Olivia Wilde on the other side.
After the “Late Night Talking” singer apparently directed his saliva at the 42-year-old actor, Pine froze amid applause and looked down at his knees with a smile before laughing to himself.
“Fuck you! What about the facts, you fools?” Jayne…
Styles, for his part, avoided eye contact with the “Wonder Woman” star in the video, waving at other audience members behind them.
Following people’s reactions, Pine reps immediately shut down the theories, calling them “ridiculous stories.”
“It’s a ridiculous story – a complete fabrication and the result of a bizarre online illusion that is clearly misleading and allows for wild speculation,” the rep told People on Tuesday.
“Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine,” the rep continued. “There is nothing but respect between these two men, and any suggestion to the contrary is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply doesn’t exist.”
Not only have fans been hungry to learn more about Spitgate, but they’ve also been paying close attention to the supposed drama between the film’s star, Florence Pugh, and Wilde.
Many thought Pugh had a problem with the romance between Wilde and Styles as she missed numerous opportunities to gush about the project via social media – while promoting other upcoming roles.
