Glass-Cannon Elden Ring Player hits every main boss with a single hit

Ring of Elden is full of tough bosses, many of which have no problem quickly showing you the nearest grave if you get lost, and defeating them often involves slowly whittling down their long health bars until you let out a huge sigh of relief as the words “Enemy Felled” finally appear. One player, however, wanted to distribute it to these bosses as well as them, and more. So he bolstered his one-hit tarnish by many of the toughest opponents in the game, from Morgott to Radahn, among others.

BushyGames, a Twitch streamer and Ring of Elden sprinter, uploaded a nearly 50-minute video to YouTube May 16. The video showed Bushy trying – and succeeding – to beat FromSoftware’s action-RPG by killing all the main bosses in one fell swoop. Bushy had a few rules in place before embarking on such a difficult task. For example, he can only perform one attack per enemy or per boss phase (for bosses, like Rannala, which have multiple phases, making it impossible to completely deplete their health bar with a single attack) and must avoid using the cheap spell beam Azure Comet unless he “absolutely has to do it to complete the challenge”. Otherwise, he gave himself carte blanche to use any item or technique available to aid him in his quest. This included stuff like buffs, which Bushy used a lot to survive the hellish run.

After creating his Tarnished named One Punch Man, Bushy traveled the Lands Between in search of gear. He collected objects like the Ax Talisman and Sharp Cracked Tear to increase the damage of charged attacks. He collected various forging stones and weapon skills, such as Ashes of War: Determination, which increases the power of your next attack. He also knocked out the boss of Night’s Calvary on horseback by forcing him off the bridge, all before grabbing his idolized weapon: the colossal scaling force. Giant-Crusher hammer. Bushy also progressed here and there, but he didn’t spend as much time on those screens as he simply explored the Lands between resources and killed enemies for runes.

Things got better once Bushy got the Giant-Crusher. He leveled the hammer several times and quickly scoured the map for better materials, like Advanced Forging Stones to further strengthen his weapon, before testing his one-hit attack abilities against his first real battle of boss: the Death Bird in Liurnia from The Lakes. Bushy tried once, buffing himself with items like HP’s Salvage Consumable Bloodboil Aromatic and the defense increase spell golden wish, only to shave about half of the boss’ health bar with the single, powerful blow of his hammer. A second failed attempt was significantly better, with Deathbird somehow clinging to the slightest burst of health after Bushy’s assault, but the third time was the charm.

After three hours of farming and upgrading his hammer once more, Bushy polished his tarnished with the same items, approached the bird of death, and killed the rotten thing with a single kick. “Slam! Whoo,” Bushy exclaimed excitedly. “I’m not going to lie, I felt it too. He repeated the process for each main boss, ranging from Margit, the Fell Omen to Rennala, the Queen of Full moon, performing a self-cleansing ritual before beginning each fight.

Not all meetings went as planned. Radahn, for example, forced him to swap certain items in his inventory to maximize his damage, opting for the Flame of Frenzy goes out until he is better able to handle the jellyfish shieldthe attack power of the Contagious Fury skill. And the Fire Giant bullied him for about an hour. But after a bit of trial and error, Bushy shot it all Ring of Elden, or in the case of those with multiple phases, he wiped out each phase in one fell swoop. What made this even more impressive was that because Bushy was using buff spells that also dealt personal damage to himself, such as the Increase Attack Power skill. Seppuku, he very often had 10% health or less during the fight. Talk about a glass cannon.

bushy said Kotaku that even though he only killed the bosses “necessary to win the game”, he is confident that each boss phase can be done in one hit. That said, he called some Ring of Elden assholes who gave him a hard time.

“The final boss Radagon and Elden Beast were the hardest one-hit and I even had to break my self-imposed Azur comet step rule to properly single-hit Elden Beast,” Bushy said. “Some people have pointed out that Comet Azur shouldn’t be considered a single hit anyway since it’s a series of hits rather than a damage case, but I don’t agree. Okay The analogy I’m giving is a shotgun, it fires one shot but hits multiple times.

In total, Bushy spent just over 25 hours collecting, testing and running the full cycle. He said he learned a lot about Ring of Elden from that and even picked up tips from the game’s community and commenters from his video.

“It was a fun race with a lot of problem solving, and I’m very surprised it was even possible in the first place,” Bushy said. “In addition to that, after posting the video, I received many comments and messages that let me know of other things that could have helped or improved the build, including Ancient Dragon’s Lightning Strike with a Faith Build , the Rusted Anchor Great Axe, and Zweihander the Colossal Sword – both have thrust attacks that enable another damage buff called “counter-damage”, which is inaccessible on any non-thrust weapon – and the Executioner’s Sword du Marais for his unique Ash of War that can do a ton of damage I haven’t used any of these in the run but they are all options that may work better in certain circumstances than what I have used.

I guess if there’s anything to take away from Bushy’s run, it might be this: Ring of Eldenthe best way to win is to “deliver a ton of damage” in one hit.
