Duffer Brothers is throwing upside down footage with the ‘Stranger Things’ spin-off and Stephen King’s ‘Talisman’ series!

For the second consecutive year, the Salem Horror Festival and Bloody Disgusting’s Queer Horror Podcast joined forces to DREAMY DRESS, a summer series of watch parties dedicated to indie queer horror. The six-week series of virtual screenings will benefit The Trevor Projectlast year’s event raising over $7,000 for the Transgender Law Center.

Salem Horror Fest and the Horror Queers Podcast will resurrect their FRIGHTGOWN fundraiser on Wednesday July 13 and performed weekly until August 17 at 7:30 p.m. ESTkick off with the new movie So vam by a 17-year-old trans filmmaker Alice Maio Mackay. The six-week series will feature recent projects featuring horror stories and queer filmmakers.

FRIGHTGOWN Organizers Kay Lynch and Joe Lipset says, “The dynamic of Queer Horror is real. It’s an exciting time for new and independent voices. Although Pride month is over, it never really dies. Our goal is to celebrate and encourage filmmakers who are committed to portraying our stories on screen and behind the lens throughout the year.

The films selected will cover several genres, from Chris Mooreabout the conversion camp children of sinmumblecore canadian lesbian movie The ropestrans director Jane Schoenbrunthe consideration of gender dysphoria on the Internet in We’re all going to the world’s fairand Addison Heimannexploring mental health in Hypochondriac before concluding with Jon Abrams‘Dark, Campy, Disturbing Campus Sexual Assault Thriller Exploited.

Special guests will co-host virtual Twitter watch parties where everyone is encouraged to interact with each other using the hashtag #frightgownsummer. Exclusive interviews with filmmakers and writers will accompany the screenings, posted on social media and hosted on the event’s website at frightgown.com.

Although there is no admission fee to attend, all films will be available for purchase, rental or streaming where proceeds will go to supporting the filmmakers. FRIGHTGOWN is asking all attendees to consider making an additional optional donation. Those who contribute $100 or more will receive an exclusive trans-themed Friday the 13th mask designed by Uncle Boogieman. All proceeds will go to support the Trevor Project.
