Amber Heard says she still loves Johnny Depp
Amber Heard has given her first interview since losing her multi-million dollar libel battle against ex-husband Johnny Depp.
After sitting down with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie last week, segments were previewed on the Today show with the full interview scheduled for 8 p.m. EST on June 17.
Heard says she will stand by her testimony at trial ‘until the day I die’, but with the trial unfolding on social media, she thinks even the best-intentioned juror would have had a hard time avoiding her .
Describing the trial as “humiliating” and that she felt “less than human”, Heard admits that she did not feel confident before the verdict, but maintains that she “spoke truth to power” and in paid the price.
When asked if Depp kept his promise of “total world humiliation,” Heard says he feels like he did, but also says she still loves him.
Depp sued Heard for $50 million for implying he abused her in a Washington Post op-ed. She filed a counterclaim for $100 million, accusing him of waging a “smear campaign” against her.
